I don't know, but I don't think so. In that case, the user reports a delay with
system notifications that doesn't occur with OSD. In my case, I experience two
consecutive notifications, regardless of the notifications chosen (i.e. if I
set OSD, then I receive two OSD notifications, and if I chose system
notifications then I receive two pop-up notices from the system).

Having said that, however, I know nothing at all about the inner workings of
Amarok, hence I don't know if what is behind Bug 263952 is at work here, as
well.
