Summary: Drag & drop of search selection into playlist
randomises order
Product: amarok
Version: 2.3.90 (2.4 beta 1)
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Playlist
AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
ReportedBy: devurandom@gmx.net
CC: nhn@kde.org, teo@kde.org
Version: 2.3.90 (2.4 beta 1) (using KDE 4.5.4)
OS: Linux
Steps to reproduce:
1) Enter a search query into collection window that matches several compilation
albums ("various artists").
2) See that the albums are listed in the window, under "various artists".
3) Mark "various artists" and start dragging it.
4) Drop the selection into the playlist
What I get:
The tracks are sorted in random order. Not even the albums are grouped
together.
What I expect:
The tracks should appear in the playlist in the order specified by album,
disc-id and track-id.
Variations of step (1) might lead to the same result, but I did not try it with
other expected artist names. And maybe it works, too, when querying the artist
name directly.
I do not have randomised playback enabled, but there might be a randomise
playlist option (does Amarok have such a thing?) which I do not see at this
moment.
Reproducible: Always
