Myself, I'm not a fan of "are you sure" dialogs - many times it just causes
annoyance and confuses new users. But for undoable operations, such as
deleting files, I'm still used to seeing such dialog.

Actions that can be undone are another story. For example, Gmail has these
nondisturbing "popups" when you for example delete a mail.
The conversation has been moved to the Trash.

I think a note in the cleared playlist would be really good - it doesn't
disturb those who just want to clear the playlist, but if someone who isn't
used to Amarok accidentally clears the playlist, he/she can easily restore
it (and also learn about the undo feature).
