Mark..

I am currently running aix4.2.X and HACMP 4.2.2
classic with network settings below that of what you
have .. and have not experienced any of the problems
you have seen.. a question I have is what tcp filesets
are you running .. the newest fileset from IBM fixed a
memory leak problem that I encounter on my ADSM server
..

The tcp filesets I am running are:

lslpp -l | grep tcp

  bos.msg.en_US.net.tcp.client
  bos.net.tcp.client 4.2.1.27 COMMITTED
TCP/IP Client Support
  bos.net.tcp.server 4.2.1.15 COMMITTED
TCP/IP Server
  bos.net.tcp.smit 4.2.1.2 COMMITTED
TCP/IP SMIT Support
  bos.net.tcp.client 4.2.1.27 COMMITTED
TCP/IP Client Support
  bos.net.tcp.server 4.2.1.15 COMMITTED
TCP/IP Server

This may be your problem.. Are you also encounter mbuf
errors .. netstat -m ?

Good luck...
