There are known problems with the ACPI CA interpreter and the Dell
Inspiron AML at the moment. I'm trying to debug problems on the i7500,
and a coworker with a 5000e also has some issues.

As a workaround, in the FreeBSD codebase we have some hooks that allow
you to ignore parts of the namespace. You might want to try to hack
something similar in for your own problems; if you avoid everything under
_SB_.PCI0.PX40.SIO_ (ie. the super-IO part) you should be OK for now.
(You may suffer limited functionality as a result of this.)

Once we've worked out what's going on, we'll feed back to Andy and the
Intel folks will, I'm sure, take care of things.

Regards,
Mike
