I'm having problems with ACPI on a Dell Inspiron 5000e. I saw an email
earlier asking for information on this setup, so here it is...

I'm using kernel 2.4.1, along with the debug ACPI downloaded today
(20010125). It appears to load the ACPI tables, parse 173 control
methods, and report more status messages. It hangs while executing device
_INI methos, after printing 8 periods. CTRL-ALT-DELETE restarts the
system.

Here's the relevant lines, copied by hand:

 tbxface-0089: ACPI Tables successfully loaded
Parsing
Methods:...............................................................
.......................................................................
.............................
173 Control Methods found and parsed (602 nodes total)
ACPI Namespace successfully loaded at root c0367c98
ACPI: Core Subsystem version [20010125]
evxfevnt-0082: Transition to ACPI mode successful
Executing device _INI methods:........

At which point, the system halts, with the cursor after the last decimal
point.

Email me if you need more information (dmesg on a good day, etc.)
