I don't agree with this: it is necessary that also people new to the
discussion can see all the arguments so that I don't need to duplicate them

But in this case you also have to move the monitor energy saving settings etc.
to this part: peripherals =! hardware. (what is IMO a good thing as you can
read in my khardware part idea ;))
