Mine's a Dell Inspiron 6000 - which I put a pc-card wifi into because they
refuse to respond to requests for support (which I paid extra for!) for the
Intel 2200 mini-PCI wireless.

The PC-card is a cheap SMC WL541C (I think!) using a Texas Instruments acx
111 chipset. I haven't a clue what speed I was getting with the acx driver
(though it couldn't have been good as I was seeing about 1% send/receive
erros) but with ndiswrapper (and TNET1100 windows driver), iwlist is
reporting 48Mb/s
