Ah... what I always wanted to stop short of because I would argue that the
only intelligent way to do this was CVS or SVN. Then again I forced the
executable bit down Kommander users throats because it was the right thing to
do, even though I didn't like it. I guess it's only fair we compensate by
allowing this feature even though it's the wrong thing to do.

All kidding aside, we probably should support this because even though it's a
terrible way to do team development it would be pretty essential if you
worked from two computers. Of course a remote project is another option for
this too.

There are two things I want to add to this. First I don't like the DW file
locking system and I don't want to emulate it. If you aren't familiar it
leaves a lock info file on the server and if someone else is running DW and
tries to edit the file while you're editing it they can't. I think they may
not even be able to edit it. This sucks, but somebody drawing web pages isn't
going to get subjected to a visual diff in their sanitized world. Quanta
should be able to support this with Actions, but I don't want to make it so
easy to use it looks like an endorsement.

The other thing is, this is part of the comments I dismissed. I'm trying to
think of some way to incorporate or advocate an RCS system. It is so easy to
set up and use on GNU/Linux and costly and difficult on Windows it seems, or
at least for lazy admins. Even though we have Actions, we could consider
offering to synchronize prior to upload, or get updates first from SVN/CVS

However when I think about it I'm not sure this really even belongs in an
upload dialog as it seems like clutter. This seems more appropriate as a
project menu item and/or something we can add as an action before upload for
those people who have to have it.
