Nope- I have 2 hard drives, installed Lenny on one, with my old Kubuntu Hardy 
on the other- then just moved my important files across.

I haven't had any issues with Kate (or Quanta), but the odd thing is Kate - 
says "2.5.10" I'm assuming it's a typo.
