It's happening because integers starting with 0 are threated like octal numbers.
See http://www.phpbuilder.com/manual/en/language.types.integer.php for more

Subject: [Quanta] Problem with digits < 08
Dear All,
I have been a happy Quanta user for years. I use Quanta via fish to my
server, which has been migrated to RHEL5/PHP5. Something strange is
happening in the IDE which is actually affecting the server. I have no
idea what it is, but I will try to describe it.
In the ide, if I type in integers beginning with the two digits as 00
through to 07, they are highlighted in aquamarine (#00FFFF). The server
can see and use the integers in scripts and functions, and all is well.
However, if I try to use integers beginning with 08 and 09, they are
highlighted in blue and the server cannot see and use them.
It's baffling - how on earth syntax highlighting in an IDE can affect
what goes on on a server I would have thought impossible. Maybe it is,
and maybe it's something about PHP5 I haven't figured out.
Can anybody shed light on this problem?
