From my pov the lists grows always when having unsaved files (1 entry per 
unsaved file per minute, in both backedup list as the autosaved list). When 
all files are saved, the growing stops. But when editing again (which is 
highly common ;-) ) the lists starts growing again.

If there's anything I can do to test certain stuff, please let me know. I'm 
highly willing to help locating the problem, as long as time allows me.
