Ok, this is a bug with the old valgrind. Which version do you have? I 
have the svn version and it works correctly, but as I remember the 
latest stable (3.1.0) should also work. At least I could use (altough 
slowly) with a PIII 550Mhz, 192MB RAM. See www.valgrind.org.
