I agree. Or it can be that there's a button or any easily clickable widget 
that will show the replace part without having tabs.

The problem is, their dialog boxes are of unequal sizes. Maybe a button 
instead of a tab will do? But I think that won't make much sense if your 
intention in the first place is to find in files.

I think you have a hidden application running (most probably hiding in the 
panel) that reserves the same shortcut.
