In 3.5 the setting will do the same as in 3.4.1 and before: replace the=20 characters, regardless of the encoding. The feature to replace characters that do not fit in the encoding=20 remains and it is enabled by default. It can be turned off with the=20 "Replace Chars Not In Current Encoding" setting under"General Options"=20 in quantarc.
