The syntax highlighting files are in=20
$KDEDIR/share/apps/katepart/syntax .
To configure which extension use for some specific files use=20
Settings->Configure Editor->Highlighting and for the Markup/HTML=20
highlight add the text/x-tpl mimetype: text/html;text/x-tpl (or use the=20
wizard button to pick up the tpl mimetype) or add the extension there=20
in the File Extensions field.

BTW, this is in the FAQ on quanta.kdewebdev.org (item #8), altough for a=20
different problem but for .tpl files. ;-)
