yes. that's it. i use gnome...honestly, i don't know which version. it's 
the one that ships with debian sarge. so i have to kill the shortcut in 
gnome or simply set a new shortcut.
this might be a good idea i never got the point of CTRL+RETURN and 
ALT+SPACE why not use CTRL+RETURN and CTRL+SPACE which would make more 
sence than using two different escape keys.
