The point wasn't writing such code. The point , as pointed out in

was that such code lead to no more HTML autocomplete inside PHP strings.

Yes, one could write outside php and then paste it wherever he wants,
but you'd have to agree that this isn't the way it should be.
In my opinion, it's less useable this way. Which, on a longer
term, affects productivity.
