Hi there,

I just wanted to point out that everything is working fine for me "now".
What I mean by "now" is that apparently kate-wildcard and kate-mimetype
both work for me. In my case, the whole problem came with the "Variable
Editor". Apparently setting the indentation settings from there overrides
any setting defined by a .kateconfig file (or at least this is what
happened to me).

So my "solution" has been to clear any value set in the variable editor and
have everything in .kateconfig files "cleverly" placed: a .kateconfig in my
$HOME and some .kateconfig files here and there when I needed to override
the global .kateconfig file.

Sorry for the noise :P

Greetings,
Miquel
