Reverted back to the same package of fontconfig (Arch/Testing 2.3.2-3) I started this \
thread with. From the very beginning the patch Stephan Kulow was talking about, was \
in this package.

KDE 3.5.0 didn't work with it, it gave the above issue. I thus moved to fontconfig \
devel 2.3.93, which was giving me similar problems. KDE 3.5.1/fontconfig 2.3.93 \
hasn't solved the problem either.

To my amaze after moving back to the patched fontconfig 2.3.2-3 (Arch/Testing) caused \
the problem to disappear. Maybe the issue was fixed by one of the patches Arch's KDE \
maintainer tpowa has applied to QT in the [Testing] branch (don't know really which \
ones), or maybe it's about the fact that only the pair KDE 3.5.1 + patched fontconfig \
2.3.2 worked well. I don't know. I'm happy that it doesn't crash anymore.
