Users will see that OOo works with certain files and that KO doesn't. Their choice as to which program to use will then be clear: OOo. A users perspective is not about code purity. Think about the number of compromises a program like firefox must make to be bug compatible with existing content and reflect on how much you as a user appreciate it "just working" in the face of all that bad content. Certainly push OOo developers to clean up. But also honour existing content. Users have put time into it! For KO developers I think it is *really* important to decide whether you want a *user* base as well as a developer base. If you want a user base then your challenge is how to be bug copatible in the cleanest possible way. - sorry. _______________________________________________ koffice-devel mailing list koffice-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice-devel
