I think it is the perfect solution, actually. It is doable, it would harm 
noone, and it would get a usable kdevelop out of the door. But it is your 
call, of course. I only strive to help get the best possible software out of 
the door.

ok, it is the public API part, So I propose my solution above... could I beg 
you to sleep on it before rejecting it? :) I know it is a pragmatic solution, 
but I really cannot see the harm, and I can see clear advantage, If 
KDevelop4.0 enters without code-formatting, I fear there might be blood in the 
reviews :(
