Hi all,

i am totally new to rpm and i want to ask a simple question here:

I realized that some apps come with rpm-source-packages. Is that usefull for
sources? I unpack these with the rpm -i command and it does something. But i
cant find the dir where the sources are put.

Question1 :

Isnt it easier to release sources in tar.gz or bz2 archives?

Question2 :

How do i find out where my files will be put before or (worse) after i call rpm
-i?
