Subject:    mouse events

I am in need of advice. 

I want to get the position of the mouse whenever it is inside the window. I can
only find information on obtaining the mouse position when a button is pressed.

The question is: is it possible to obtain mouse events for general mouse
positions, not just when a button is pressed.
