Subject: [kde-redhat-users] Problem with the KDE trash can
Message: 2

Hello,

I have just noticed that the KDE trash has stopped working for me. The icon is
still on the desktop but it does not launch Konqueror if I double-click on
it. Also, it use the "trash_full" icon and nothing changes if I right-click
and select "Empty Trash".

If I type trash:/ in the address bar in Konqueror, nothing happens except the
icon changes in the address bar (but the content of the windows stays to
whatever it was before)

I I type system:/trash in the address bar in Konqueror, I get an empty window.

Apparently, KDE stores the trash in .local/share/Trash. The folder is there,
with the files and info subfolders. They contain two files that I deleted a
long time ago, there should be a lot more in there...

I am not sure exactly when this broke but the I recently
(a) moved to a full 64bit KDE
and
(b) now use kde-redhat.

Any idea what might be causing the problem? Or where my other deleted files
might have gone?

Thanks for any hint,

JP
