OK, I'm tired of konqueror not working on certain websites (particularly Bank
of America's on line bill pay) and want to use firefox as my default browser.
I go to the control center, and enter "firefox %U" for the web browser in the
Component Chooser section. I also set firefox as the default for text/html in
the FIle Associations. The problem is that is firefox isn't already open, it
doesn't work.
How can I tell KDE to start firefox if it isn't already started?
Using firefox version 1.0.7...
$ rpm -q firefox
firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc4
Thanks,
Tim

Has livna dropped its support for apt users? Bummer if so.

Seems to work OK with Fx-1.5 installed from binary downloaded from mozilla.com. \
Unfortunately, it seems to load the URLs into 2 tabs. But it's better than not \
working at all.
Maybe one day, KDE/konqueror will be as good at allowing the use of non-KDE web \
browsers as Windows is at allowing non-IE browsers :(
