I think it's under the menu that lets you add panels or applets. It's called the Kasbar and it's basically an iconbox like Blackbox has them. There are pictures at: http://www.mosfet.org/kickerkwin/ By default, KDE2 isn't any less or more great than Windows, Mac, BeOS, etc., but when you start customizing it, it becomes superior. A lot of stuff is simply disabled (for example, the desktop and panel icons can be made to support alpha transparencies so that they have nice drop shadows... you can enable that in Kcontrol under the icon style stuff). - Bart
