To get a CVS account you have to send Stephan Kulow a mail as described below.

You need to have access to the KDE CVS server now.

==========================================================
To gain access to the KDE CVS respository (discussed below), you firsly need
to have a good reason for wanting access. For example, you may be maintaining a
CVS module. If you think you have a good reason, send a polite email request to
Stephan Kulow <coolo@kde.org>.

You'll also need to send him an encrypted password to get the account set up.
To create your encrpyted password, type:

perl -e print\ crypt\('passwd','sa'\)\.\"\\n\"

where passwd is your choice of password and sa is two random characters from
the set (a-zA-Z0-9./). The output is your encrypted password.
==========================================================

Execute the perl command with your OWN settings [(passwd)] and send the output
string to Stephan Kulow.

On my system I have created a new directory for the sources:
KDE/CVS/kdenonbeta/kuml
You can use the same directory structure if you like.

Do "cvs login" and enter your [(passwd)]

Before you can work on the sources you have to checkout it first.
cd KDE/CVS
cvs -z6 checkout kdenonbeta/kuml -> subdir kdenonbeta/kuml will be created

You should take a look into the cvs man or info page for more information.

And take a look at cervisia (KDE CVS Frontend) !!!!
