Basically, krita on windows is a snapshot of the code that will become 
beta5, so it has some bugfixes which the linux beta doesn't have yet. On 
the other hand, the windows version is missing quite a few parts

* opengtl is missing, so no floating point colorspaces
* kdcraw isn't detected, so no support for raw images
* fftw3 isn't detected, so no fast convolution
* lcms2 isn't available yet, so lots of crashes when applying filters.

Yes, I just verified that bug -- it's pretty weird, but I can confirm. It 
must be some rather silly linux-only constructions that I and Siddharth 
use.

Which is kind of good :-). It's amazing that people actually can use the 
windows version already to paint with...
