Ho risolto l'errore. Se ho capito bene quello che dice l'aiuto in linea di Kbabel e' \
un controllo inutile per il mio lavoro:

"Check Equation
This is a feature for KDE project development. .desktop files are simply text files \
which store various parameters in value=key format. Some of these key are \
translatable. The only restriction is to maintain the left side of equality \
unchanged. Equation check allow you to spot many errors determined by fuzzy msgmerge \
algorithm. Note that are situations where this function generate false errors on some \
PO-files."

Ora ho disabilitato "Check equation" in Settings/Preferences/Edit.

No, per il motivo spiegato sopra.
In ogni caso la tua risposta mi e' stata utile. Pensavo di fare
qualche errore banale che non riuscivo a vedere. Una volta
esclusa questa eventualita' ho cercato un'altra strada e l'ho
trovata... Grazie e saluti a tutti.
