Why can't those things be standardized KDE-wide?  KMail and Konqueror share 
background images for their introductory pages, for example.

I just don't understand why anyone would volunteer to be in KDE without 
wanting to cooperate with *all* of KDE.  Is kdeedu a part of KDE or not?
