you should receive saveYourSettings() && shutDown(), as if you were
doing killall <appname>

That these signals are not raised during KDE's logout is a BUG. This
drives me crazy since KDE 1.0. A workaround has been found for KDE
1.1.1, maybe I should port that to head.
