cvs is just a file manager too ;-)
Probably could be handled just fine through corba, just like ftp and
whatever else. I don't see that increasing bloat beyond what you already
need for corba support and a corba aware cvs client - you obviously wouldn't
have the cvs client running unless you were using it.

I haven't seen it either, but WinCVS that I run on NT has an interface that
*could* fit into a file manager UI ok. It's just a tree on the left, a file
listing on the right, plus a log window that maybe would have to be handled
differently.
But I think it may not work so well when you have no local repository
already. But if you change into a directory with a CVS subdir, you might
get a choice of how to deal with that directory, either natively or through
cvs. It obviously needs some thought, but it sounds workable to me.
