this project idea sounds like it would be duplicating a lot of
http://labs.trolltech.com/page/Projects/QtMobility

No sir, what i am implimenting is a way to exchange stuff between a desktop(or a laptop) and a mobile phone.

I didnt yet use the qt mobility project but their website says: "It is a project within Nokia that is creating a new suite of Qt APIs for mobile device functionality. These APIs will enable cross-platform mobile application development. This, for example, will make it possible to create a rich application targeting S60, Windows CE and Maemo. "

here are some important links, that i ve looked into.. n no where in there, did nokia specify any plans to make a linux PC suite or one which solves the issues i ve mentioned.

once again, to be clear, i intend to work on a project, after which:
when you connect your PC with your mobile phone, amarok should treat it like a generic media device, digikam or gwen view should treat it as a usb disk of a digital camera with photos, and all your PIM data gets updated btw. Kontact and the phone. and also you should be able to use it as a modem for dial up internet.
