As I understand, the delay is not about giving time to add lots of extra features, it is about getting a release in a state which could be classified as 'working' and 'reasonably stable' across the field. I've been watching my DVDs, screencasts and streaming media in Kaffeine 4 recently, which is essentially just a few lines of glue sticking some Phonon components together.
