Hello,

I just installed the basic KDE from CVS to take a peek at what's to come with
3.4. But somehow most of the things I specifically looked at inside Konqueror
weren't there as I expected.
There have been some bug reports I followed because I'm interested in seeing
them resolved and some I submitted myself that seemed to be 'in' judging from
KDE's Bugzilla but don't seem to be there with my recent (todays) CVS build.

Things I couldn't see and/or didn't find a configuration option for:

- Shaded background on sorted column
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59791

- allowing longer filenames to be displayed in MultiColumnView so that there
doesn't have to be word-wrap
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42587

- only mark the filename as selected in detailed/tree view - not the whole
"name" column
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88964

Can someone guess what might be wrong here? Is it that those changes actually
aren't there in CVS or did I do something wrong?

What I did:
I used the kdecvs-build script (kde-apps.org - don't remember the name of the
homepage just now) to compile arts, kdesupport, kdebase and kdelibs.

Created a new user via kuser and my main KDE installation called tester (had
the "use skeleton" checkbox enabled) and put him to the same groups as my
main user.

Started the CVS KDE (installed at /home/mainuser/kde) via it's own kdm and
logged in with tester.

 Thanks for any hints :)

Christoph
