    I got the same any time I configure kdelibs or kdebase (well, I don't recall
which... ok, it's kdebase). same setup as alan. but the compilation goes just
fine.

    I found this in config.log:

configure:38903: checking X11/extensions/XKBrules.h usability
configure:38916: g++ -c ... -I/opt/kde3/include -I/opt/qt-copy/include -I/usr/X11R6/include  conftest.cc
conftest.cc:1:7: warning: line number out of range
In file included from configure:39093:
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/extensions/XKBrules.h:94: syntax error before `Bool'
In file included from configure:39093:
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/extensions/XKBrules.h:95:5: warning: "NeedFunctionPrototypes" is not defined
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/extensions/XKBrules.h:101: syntax error before `(' token

    the last two errors repeat several times.
