Sorry, but I am not going to dig into the core of KDE, as I have not time for 
such tasks.

As this problem has not been fixed since the first person
reported it, I have thought that I should send this patch easy to make.

Attached is the part of my .X.err when quitting KDE. Perhaps somebody can 
make something out of it.
