Alternativly to checking for an arbitrary number of paths via AC_CHECK_LIB
you may choose AC_SEARCH_LIBS instead.

AC_SEARCH_LIBS (function, search-libs [, action-if-found [,action-if-not-found [, other-libraries]]])
