ktl (which is already there in KImageShop!) was intended to be implemented
as a wrapper around existing threading-libraries - whichever ones are
available for your desired platform. GNU Pth is a
userspace-implementation, so it won't be of any use for numbercrunching
(e.g. in KIS).
ktl even should be able (later) to change the underlying threading-lib at
runtime.
