I really don't want to get into an argument over details. The fact that 
~nobody on this list knew of this engagement work, let alone the usage of code 
from KDE repos in the terminal app (which is pretty cool imho), demonstrates 
the point. This is not a KDE problem: other projects have had the same 
treatment.

Of course, we can nitpick together over one detail in a lengthy email, but I'd 
rather focus on the overall content and premise which afaiu is sound.

If we can focus on understanding what is getting in the way and then decide if 
there is something we can do about it, that'd be better for all, no?

I did not say Canonical is evil. I merely noted situations where they 
apparently do not talk with us since that seems extremely relevant to Jos'.  
question of why Ubuntu Mobile did not participate more.

I was not aware the person working on the terminal app does not work Canonical 
(it was not at all clear from your email), but it does reflect on the Ubuntu 
Phone community culture.

Whether any of this is good, neutral, evil or strawberry banana flavored I will 
leave up to others. Personally, I don't really care about such labels: it is 
what it is, and this is part of the dynamics faced in bridging gaps that 
exist.

When we jump on each other it makes it much harder to share relevant knowledge 
and likely discourages others from attempting similar.
