I know that konqueror supports filtering it's file views:

file:/home/moritz/*.html only lists html files.

Unfortunately that information is hard to be found and I think adding a menue entry \
in the GUI under View -> Filter would be cool.

It would allow you to set a certain pattern and then it would just use the existing \
konqueror ability.

Basically I think this would make the functionality easier to be found for newbies.
