I use Mandriva RPMs for 3.5.10 and MIB (3rd party Mandriva repository).
Mandriva does not provide newer KDE for distribution version 2009.1 I still
use.
I am going to upgrade soon anyway, keeping KDE3, so I wil retest it with just
pure Mandriva packages.

I have the impression that MIB (mib.pianetalinux.org - Mandriva Italia
Backports) provides less patched KDE versions, that is more close to KDE
original sources, so they should be more relavant for KDE testing, shouldn't
they?
