Summary: kio_audiocd always autoplays cds if an application
                    uses the audiocd protocol
           Product: kio
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Slackware Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: audiocd
        AssignedTo: ben@meyerhome.net
        ReportedBy: ferriste@gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Slackware Packages

When an application accesses an audio cd using the audiocd protocol, managed by
kio_audiocd, the autoplay of the cd always starts, but in a strange manner:

- it starts with very low volume, and mixer is completely bypassed: there is no
way to stop playing, select track, change volume or turn off audio
- it happens when, after the audio cd has been inserted into the drive, an
application interfaces to it with kio_audiocd, in example:
-- browsing audio cds with konqueror
-- browsing audio cds with dolphin (by typing audiocd:/ in the addres bar)
-- ripping audio cds with kaudiocreator. In this case, there is also the
problem that ripping is slowed down by continuous accesses to cd for playing
it.

Only if you close the application, after a while music stops.
This behaviour is really annoying, and moreover causes a considerable loss of
performance.
