Subject: Bug#46994: kspell is incompatible with gnu aspell 0.5
From: mmh () gmx ! net
Date: 2002-08-26 9:51:47
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kspell
Version: KDE 3.0.7 1 beta1)
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19
OS/Compiler notes:
After I installed the new gnu aspell version 0.5 instead of the old aspell-33.7 \
series, kspell did not work correctly anymore.
Since aspell is supposed to be downward compatible and works by itself, I assume that \
the bug lies within kde.
If I do a spellcheck now, e.g. kedit does not pass the words in the text correctly to \
aspell. Instead it prepends the leading space to each word and cuts off the last \
letter. Seems to be a simple case of off by one.
