Subject: Bug#40729: problems with kandy and Siemens S45
From: mmh () gmx ! net

Package: kandy
Version: 0.3 (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18
OS/Compiler notes:
I have several severe problems with my Siemens S45 and kandy.
No baud rate setting. I patched the kandy source and set it to 115200(S45 supports \
only 115K and 56K). Now I get a connection, before it just silently failed. A baud \
setting in kandy is a must.
Reading the phonebook fails.
Reason:
AT+CPBR=1,150 is a hardcoded.
While the command works fine and puts out the phone numbers, it fails as soon as the \
last entry in the S45 is reached (ERROR). kandy then thinks the whole command failed \
and never reads the entries.
I changed the 150 to 100, but it is hardcoded in the source. The setting in the \
profile is ignored! Also having to patch the source, whenever the number of entries \
fails is not a good solution.
Suggested Fix: Make phonebook reading ignore errors at the end if numbers arrive.
