These will appear firstly on ftp://ftp.de.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1pre2/distribution/rpm/RedHat-5.1/i386 ftp://ftp.de.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1pre2/distribution/rpm/RedHat-5.2/i386 and shortly delayed on ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1pre2/distribution/rpm/RedHat-5.1/i386 ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1pre2/distribution/rpm/RedHat-5.2/i386 Unlike the earlier RPM packages, these are fully relocatable using "rpm .... --prefix=" and all associated configuration scripts should reflect your chosen location ($KDEDIR) Extremely simple post-installation scripts "usekde " and "kdm_on"/"kdm_off" are described in the accompanying "readme-redhat-rpms" document. qt-1.42-3rh5x.i386.rpm, which now includes the qimageio extension library requested by many users, is supplied with the KDE RPMS. Send comments about problems with the RPM packages to (RPM packages for RedHat 4.2 and 5.0 will appear soon) Volunteers to rebuild the RPMS on other architectures are requested to contact redhat-rpms@kde.org.
