Name: kchmviewer Version: 1.2 Type: Other Utility Depend: KDE 3.x License: GPL Homepage: http://kchmviewer.sourceforge.net/ More Info: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=25125 Description: KchmViewer is a chm (MS HTML help file format) viewer, written in C++. Unlike most existing CHM viewers for Unix, it uses Trolltech Qt widget library, and does not depend on KDE or Gnome. However, it may be compiled with full KDE support, including KDE widgets and KIO/KHTML. The main advantage of KchmViewer is non-English language support. Unlike others, KchmViewer in most cases correctly detects help file encoding, correctly shows tables of context of Russian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese help files, and correctly searches in non-English help files (search for MBCS languages - ja/ko/ch is still in progress). KchmViewer is written by Georgy Yunaev, and is licensed under GNU GPL license. Changelog: Added 'next page' and 'prev page' buttons. Added extra charset encodings for some languages, including KOI8 and UTF8/16. Added special encoding to handle 'broken' Russian CHMs with TOC in CP1251 and content in KOI8. Fixed language selection bug. Added a new 'Set codepage' menu. Added Ctrl-F shortcut to move cursor focus onto the search input combo box. Fixed navigation in some CHM files, which have spaces in filenames. Fixed browser page update for QTextBrowser. Code now compiles on x86_64. _______________________________________________ kde-announce mailing list kde-announce@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-announce
