Try epiphany (from one of the authors of galeon):

1. (as root) apt-get install epiphany-browser
2. (as user, update ~/.bash_profile) export BROWSER=/usr/bin/epiphany
3. (as user, logout/login ) applications->Desktop Preferences->Advanced->
Web Browser : Debian Sensible Browser
