The "microuptime going backwards" problem seems to be fixed by:

> fire% sysctl kern.timecounter
 > kern.timecounter.method: 0
 > kern.timecounter.hardware: i8254

(that's what I get, too)

>I set it to the following and it stopped :

> %sysctl kern.timecounter
> kern.timecounter.method: 1
> kern.timecounter.hardware: TSC

However, I cannot find out how to set those desirable parameters.
How is this done, please?
